Here is an overview of the fees of Larry Lowenthal, a real estate expert witness and broker who is retained for lawsuits wherein real estate brokers are charged with malpractice, failure to disclose, negligence, dishonesty, deceptive conduct, violations of law and the Realtor Code of Ethics. He also helps clients and attorneys with disputes over commissions and fees.
Depending upon the facts and the law, Larry works for plaintiffs and defendants, and testifies at depositions and trials.
Initial consultation, routine calls and correspondence

These are all billed at $300.00 per hour, but timed with a stopwatch and billed to the nearest minute. Flat fees may apply to distant events when Larry must travel.INITIAL FEE
$1,500 is the initial advance fee for the first five hours of work. This is the minimum charge to be paid upon reaching an employment agreement, and is non-refundable.
If there is much discovery and transcripts, then the non-refundable fee goes to $3,000 for the first ten hours. For simpler cases, this is sometimes sufficient to cover all billable time.LISTING NAME AS EXPERT WITH COURT

Out-of-pocket expenses billed at cost. Larry does not expect to work or travel carte blanche, and is conservative when other people’s money is involved – both plaintiff’s and defendant’s.
