LISTING NAME AS EXPERT WITH COURT
$200.00 is due immediately if initial retainer is not forthcoming within a week. $450.00 of initial retainer is the minimum charge and is non-refundable.

RESEARCH, EXAMINATION OF DOCUMENTS, READING AND ANNOTATING DEPOSITIONS
$150.00 per hour timed to the nearest 1/100th of an hour

CONFERENCES: IN PERSON OR VIA TELEPHONE
$150.00 per hour timed to the nearest 1/100th of an hour, including travel one way up to south Palm Beach County and down to central Miami-Dade. Beyond those areas, travel is timed ‘round trip.

LOCAL DEPOSITION
$150.00 per hour timed to the nearest 1/100th of an hour, including ‘round trip travel time. Opposing counsel to present payment for first three or four hours ( depending upon drive time from Cooper City) at outset. If there is a credit due, Lowenthal will promptly issue a check to the party who made the payment. If the time exceeds three hours, depending upon circumstances, Lowenthal may invoice opposing counsel, who agrees to pay within ten days. Additional amounts due under $50.00 will not be invoiced.

DISTANT DEPOSITION
$750.00 flat fee, plus any out of pocket expenses for travel, including air fare, hotel (if necessary), and taxi or car rental, but not meals. If Lowenthal must travel the day before in order to appear at a morning interview, add up to $500.00. The flat amounts and expenses must be guaranteed by opposing counsel. Fees are to be paid at the outset, and expenses to be paid within ten days of receipt of Lowenthal’s detailed invoice.

TRIAL TESTIMONY
Locally, $150 per hour. Distant: $750.00 flat fee for the appearance, plus any out of pocket expenses for travel, including air fare, hotel, and taxi or car rental, but not meals.
If Lowenthal must travel the day before in order to appear at a morning hearing, add up to $500.00. The flat amounts and expenses must be guaranteed by retaining counsel.

GENERAL FEE & EXPENSE NOTE
Lowenthal does not expect to work or travel carte blanche, and is conservative when other people’s money is involved – both plaintiff’s and defendant’s.
